Ben Shively lives and works as a 3D artist in Seattle, WA. He attended the Digipen Institute of Technolgy in Redmond, WA and recieved an Associate of Applied Arts degree in 3D computer animation. He specializes in modeling and texturing high and low res assets for video games. Ben has worked on a total of 3 games, all of which have been shipped, and, two that have been AAA titles that have received very high marks.
He has most recently worked at the Microsoft Game Studios Turn 10 studio as a vehicle artist for the games Forza Motorsport and Forza Motorsport 2. There he created custom liveries for in game use, as well as LODs, damage models, textures and an assortment of parts for over 300 vehicles. Other responsibilities included working closely with external vendors to ensure vehicle accuracy in observance of a strict manufacturer approval process.
Previously Ben has worked as an environmental artist at Zombie Studios in Seattle, WA. There he helped develop the Xbox title Shadow Ops: Red Mercury. His duties consisted of creating models and textures for various props and buildings found throughout the game. The environments of the game ranged from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, to lush jungles in the Congo.
